The Challenge

  • In recent years, Performance Trust had created a very successful niche helping community banks with their fixed income investments. Yet, it faced two major challenges:
  • First, Performance Trust was highly rated by past clients, but was best kept secret in the industry. It needed a marketing plan to increase its industry visibility without the need for huge advertising expenditures.
  • Second, the company competes in an industry that had become increasingly commoditized and price-oriented. Performance Trust needed a brand strategy that would allow it to grow profitably without a need for heavy price discounting.

The Results

  • AspireUp conducted extensive research with customers, prospects and industry experts. A new brand strategy was developed that sharpened the company's target audience focus and clarified its point of difference. A marketing plan was created that employed a cost-effective mix of online offline advertising, social media, and public relations to drive awareness and industry thought leadership.
  • With its team of media and communications experts, AspireUp developed a new marketing campaign with new imagery and messaging to stretch across all customer touchpoints: internet, print materials, industry advertising and through its sales process.

Industry exposure has grown significantly with weekly appearances on national financial TV, a strong internet presence, and successful educational workshop series.
