Cynthia Opie

Cynthia Opie has been working in brand strategy, marketing strategy, and marketing research for the past 15 years. Prior to working with AspireUp, Cynthia has led brand strategy engagements and research projects, both as an independent marketing consultant and as an Engagement Manager at Prophet Brand Strategy, a leading brand and marketing strategy consulting firm. Before that, she also did similar work with Kuczmarski & Associates.

Cynthia has helped clients with brand strategy development and implementation including creating relevant and unique customer value propositions, differentiating brands in increasingly crowded categories, revitalizing stagnant brands, and developing go-to-market strategies. Her past clients include IBM, HP, Legg Mason, Maidenform, NCR, Sabre, William Blair & Company, Kemper Insurance, Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Schools, DePaul University, Zimmer, Northwestern Michigan College, Hagerty Insurance, and Equity Methods.

Early in her career, Cynthia worked at Information Resources, Inc. as an account lead and project director, where she supported key clients in development of category management strategy, pricing elasticity and promotion effectiveness studies, and competitive analysis.

Cynthia received an MBA in marketing and strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA from the University of Michigan.
