Sherwood B Smith

Sherwood B. Smith (Woody) has worked with Fortune 500 corporations and small entrepreneurial companies with a singular focus on producing substantial business results. Woody's areas of expertise include measuring brand perceptions and marketplace positions, articulating consumer needs, creating and refining new products, pricing, developing rigorous marketing strategy, and many other areas where rigorous analytics can inform effective decision-making.

Woody helped to create the research practice of The Intelligence Agency (IA). Examples of Woody's work with IA include: developing a rigorous approach to managing the customer experience for a regional telecommunications company that led to a 60% decline in customer attrition, successfully launching several de novo companies and business units, and helping a specialty provider of collector vehicle insurance achieve significant penetration in the general insurance market. Prior to IA, Woody led a successful business unit turnaround as Category Manager with Frontier Natural Brands, a leading supplier of natural and organic CPGs.

Woody has written extensively for national trade journals and has been a featured speaker at the Natural Products Expo and Healthy Foods International trade shows. He is an MBA graduate of Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
